Diploma in Advanced Aromatherapy Techniques

Thanks to Fennel I was able to persevere and complete my Summer Project just before the Labor Day weekend!

As I reported last month, the reviewing, revising and reworking of the Aromatherapy 101 and Aromatherapy 201 courses were completed by August 11.  I am very happy to report that the New Improved Aromatherapy 301 – Diploma in Advanced Aromatherapy Techniques is now completed.

The Aromatherapy 301 course was originally designed to teach the aroma massage, hands-on, over a five week period.  During this time students learned the aroma massage techniques hands on from me, they also studied anatomy and physiology, in a little more depth as it relates to massage and bodywork techniques.  They spent a week with me learning, three weeks at home practicing and studying and a final week with me in class.  This was great in the beginning but over time it became apparent, that due to logistics, my students and grads come from all over North America, this was not meeting their needs and I stopped offering this course.

With the revision of the Aromatherapy 101 and Aromatherapy 201 courses and the addition of new information, I was left with the dilemma of allowing the courses to become even larger than they were, or to remove some of the information to be shared in an additional course.  After a lot of reflection, I decided to remove the hands-on applications of Aromatherapy Massage and Infant Massage and just leave in some of the theory of massage as that is a very effective way of using essential oils.  Once I had decided on this and completed the Aromatherapy 101 and Aromatherapy 201 courses, ideas started percolating around how I could share all the additional information I had.  The more I thought about it, the more the Aromatherapy 301 – Diploma in Advanced Aromatherapy Techniques started taking shape.

So what is offered in this course?

Like the original Aromatherapy 301 course, this course does have a prerequisite: Completion of Aromatherapy 101 and Aromatherapy 201, or equivalent.

There is a bodywork component covering three bodywork techniques.  The Aromatherapy Massage routine which includes access to the Aroma Massage Video at no extra cost.  Lymphatic Stimulations principles and routine, and an Indian Head Massage routine.

More in depth information on Pregnancy and Pregnancy massage, as well as Infant Massage.

Natural Perfumes: The focus of blending from and Aromatherapy perspective and formulating a Natural Perfume is quite different.  The information shared here will allow you to create your own unique Natural Perfumes.

Teaching Workshops:  Are you continually asked about the safe and effective use of essential oils?  This section will guide you on how to set up and customize your own information workshops so that you can effectively share with others.  Offering workshops is a great service to your community.  It is also a very professional way to promote yourself and your services.  It can even turn into an additional income stream.

Also covered are 15 new essential oils.  Plus completely updated Therapeutic and Emotional Indexes covering all the oils from Aromatherapy 101, Aromatherapy 201 and Aromatherapy 301.  Completely updated Reference Charts.
