Did you know… Native American tribes had many uses for most parts of the Pine Tree. For instance the pollen and needles were used in healing ceremonies, while the wood from the tree was used extensively for general construction and to fabricate snowshoes. Pine bark was used to cover dwellings. Pine logs were fashioned into dugout canoes.
The Pine tree is also noted for its remarkable resilience. According to Dr. Berkowsky, Pine oil is noted for its value in diabetes. In this instance, its value does not derive from direct action upon the pancreas, but rather, from its stabilizing effects upon the thyroid and the adrenal cortex.
This quarter the Mini Profile is on the essential oil of Pine. I have also included an article on Essential Oils and Diabetes.
The essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is gratitude.
