1.6 Subtle Aromatherapy

Rudolf Steiner, the Father of Anthroposohy, said that “All our thoughts are transformed smells.   Man is such an accomplished thinker because he experiences in the brain.” He also said that the physical body gives us our sense of ‘touch’, the etheric body our sense of ‘taste’, the astral body our sense of ‘smell’ and the self our sense of ‘warmth. When we look at the use of aromatic plants and oils over the centuries, we find that they were often used for their more subtle properties.  Whether they were used to interact with the soul and the Divine or whether they were used, as in Magic Potions, to interact on a more earthly plane,  essential oils and  essential oil blends when used with intent for specific purposes have been found to be very powerful.
